My name is TAKAKO, and I am the founder of KIRABOSHI.
Are you interested in learning Japanese on your own, but have struggled to find the right materials? At KIRABOSHI, I have created entirely new resources designed just for independent learners like you. With clear explanations and a carefully structured approach, I hope to make Japanese study accessible and enjoyable—even for those who may have given up before.
Perhaps you found Japanese lessons too expensive, or tried studying with a textbook, only to feel overwhelmed or discouraged. Maybe you’ve taken online conversation classes, but felt your reading and writing skills weren’t improving as much as you’d hoped. If any of this sounds familiar, I invite you to try our innovative learning system.
Using KIRABOSHI’s original story, “LOST IN YOU, LOST IN TOKYO,” our lessons lead you step by step through Japanese study in a systematic way. Each lesson includes grammar and vocabulary explanations, pattern practice with audio, written exercises, and workbook activities to help reinforce kanji. For those who enjoy video learning, we also provide comprehensive video explanations, as well as audio files to support your listening and speaking practice.
Every five lessons, you’ll have the opportunity to review and consolidate what you have learned with special revision exercises. Through repeated practice, you’ll develop a natural feel for Japanese expressions and grammar—with the added benefit of strengthening all four skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
If you are completely new to Japanese, don’t worry! We also offer FREE video lessons on the origins of Japanese, plus detailed workbooks to help you master hiragana and katakana.
